Every person in my senior class has a special place in my life and I think they ought to be recognized for it. Maybe I should….
It is in my new realization that the world we live in is unfair, however it isn’t too hard to figure out the trick to making it through life clear of a heavy conscious and successful. Be nice. It sounds cliche but think of it this way, in hiring a person you wish to work with someone pleasant not a smart ass, you want to feel cared for, and you wish to trust. This motto is the foundation to both the golden rule and karma; in essence they both urge you to be nice.
My secret story. I don’t often reveal this personal experience but I do find it impeccably relevant to this point. As a kid I was once taken by a man who tried molesting me, the only way I got out of this was by having a strange man I never met come literally pound the living hell of the pedophile. Not to my surprise, the next time I visited that part of the world I found a different man approaching a young boy luring him to his home, because I was present I made sure this didn’t happen. Coincidentally this young boy was the son of the man who saved me in the first place.
Friends, being nice does pay off, hard work may not.
As humans of the modern age, you’d be surprised how much showing your heart off in the career world will help you. Sadly, people lost their sense of moral to money.
Its easy to find someone smart, but smart and nice are the most wonderful combination in any position: spouse, coworker, friend.
Today a couple of my classmates and I chose to attend a Job shadow for the renowned consulting firm Mckenzie and Company. I found my dream job. I want to be a consultant, and I think I’d be pretty good at it. I’d do anything to work there; your job is to improve and help others solve problems to be more successful. I get to have a hand in the biggest companies, foundations, and governments in the world making the world better in my own way. I’d do that.
